Updates

Zompocolypse - Sooooooo close to being done. John 'Robot' Gentle rocked out the visual effects last week, and the music should be done very soon. The new goal is to have it up on the internet for everyone to see by the end of July. Keep your fingers crossed!

Life Sucks - Still working on the script. It's very close to being complete, which is exciting, then I'll start trying to put together the crew and hold some auditions. Shooting sometime in the fall (October-ish) is still the plan.

If you haven't seen Up yet, get out and do it! Dug the talking dog is the coolest character since Wall-E. I loooooved Wall-E! And I do see the irony in the fact that I'm name-dropping cute Pixar characters in the same blog where I'm discussing a movie which has concept art of naked vampires feeding on people. I'm complicated like that.

More Artwork

Sherard Jackson is the man.  Here are a couple more pieces of concept art he did for a grant we just applied to.  More to come...

Life Sucks?

Sometimes, it certainly does. Specifically speaking, this is the case for Harvey, who is the main character of the vampire flick we're getting ready to roll on later in the year. Life Sucks is the new title of the movie, and here is a sneak preview of some artwork. Enjoy!

You Only Live Once...

You Only Live Once is our new short film! It was made last summer and here it is for all to see... though I have to say it's pretty wacky.

On the Zompocalypse front, we're still awaiting the finished music and VFX, so hopefully sometime in the near future we'll be able to start sending out the DVDs and submit to a couple film festivals. (like Fantastic Fest!)

On the Wire is on a haitus for the time being. Finding the money to make it properly has not been working out very well, so another script has been written (a feature) that will take it's place as the new PNA movie priority. We're hoping this script (which is much simpler and cheaper to make) will be a good jumping-off-point to get On the Wire noticed. What is this new script? Well it's tentatively titled Starting Over, and it's going to be fun. Sherard Jackson is currently working on some sketches which I'll post as soon as I can.

If all goes well, Starting Over will be shot in the late summer, and I'm personally saving up as much money as I can so that we can at least pay people a little bit of cash. No fucking around this time, this is gonna get done.

Website Update!

The new and improved pnaproductions.com is up and running. There are still a few bugs to work out, but this simpler and sleeker look is here to stay!

Progress?

Happy New Year everyone! A few new things to report: 1st of all Zompocalypse! is finally almost done. Arles is rocking on the music and John [Robot] Gentle is getting his VFX on. It's clocking in at about 35 minutes, which might change, but this journey is almost over. Maybe by Valentines Day we'll be able to show it to people.

In On the Wire news, we're still having a hard time finding the money. I've been saving up some extra cash and my plan right now is to shoot a simple yet cool scene to help with the fund raising sometime soon. The script is finally at a place where I'm really happy with it, so at least the past year has been good for something.

There are a couple other short films in the pipeline, scripts have been completed, but On the Wire is the priority right now, so any money/time will go to that.

Our New Years resolution for 2008 is to post more on the blog, and actually the old website is about to get a huge update in the next month or so. So stay tuned, thanks for your time, and have a nice day.

On the Wire Production Blog...

Starting Friday, April 13th, 2007... onthewiremovie.blogspot.com will be the host for an ongoing blog about the production of On the Wire. Shelby Downs, a journalist here in Austin, will be interviewing key memebers of the On the Wire creative team and writing stories about the trials and tribulations of getting this movie made. Entries to this blog will be updated twice a month, on every other Friday.

In addition to this blog, there will also be a video diary featured on the On the Wire website: www.pnaproductions.com/onthewire.html The website has also been updated with photos of the cast and new information about the film.

In other movie news, Zompacolypse: The Musical is currently in Pre-Production for a proposed June start date. Arles Estes is currently working on the music, and we'll be having auditions in late April. Watch this space for more info on that film as well. And check back on April 13th for the first blog entry featured interviews with Todd Haberkorn and Brian O'Neill. Thanks and have a nice day.
