So I'm getting really excited about Superman Returns. Mission Impossible 3 was alright...X-Men was kinda dissapointing, all that's left is the Man of Steel, and based on what I've seen and heard, this could be the one I've been waiting for. Last summer it was Batman, it's only fitting that this summer it's his Marvel counterpart. Please Superman, please don't suck.There was a documentary on A&E last weekend called "Look Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman," and it was a fascinating look at the origin of this American icon. At 2 hours long, I highly reccomend it to any comic book fan, and I'm not even a huge Superman lover or anything.
On a totally unrelated note, go rent Kiss Kiss Bang Bang right now. Well, not right now, cuz the Mavs are on, and they are finally looking good! Anyway, Kilmer and Downey Jr. are awesome together, and this flick has everything a red-blooded american male could want. Trust me. And my god it's entertaining as hell.
Speaking of Superman and the Mavs, I am really hating those Superman commercials on ABC that feature Shaq saying something along the lines of "kryponite ain't got nothing on me." Please God, don't let Miami win. Letting Shaq win another title would be equivilant to letting Hitler and the Nazis win WW2. Granted, Dwayne Wade is a fucking superstar, but I believe in the Mavs. I'm a Nowitzness. They can be Redirkulous for 2 more games and bring this thing home. So in conclusion...Rent Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Superman on IMAX could be the greatest movie-going experience ever, and GO MAVS!
